Farmer's Market

The Farmers Market at Bissel is NY State Agriculture and Market –certified.  We are also members of the Farmers Market Federation.

Seasonal, (July – mid-November).the market is run by several gardening members on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Fresh-picked NY State produce – fruit, vegetables and flowers-some grown in the gr are It is located at the end of the gardens at Baychester Avenue.  Cooking and healthy eating demos are scheduled throughout the summer.  The market accepts WICs and Senior Farmers Market Nutrution checks.  

In 2009, Bissel assisted Bronx youth in the establishing of student-run farmers markets in the Castle Hill and Westchester Square areas of the Bronx.
